THE NORTHERN LOVE PROJECT

The Northern Love Project, initiated by the ELBC Foundation, is a compassionate drive that has made significant strides in bringing much-needed support and care to underprivileged children in the Kpachaa, Kukuonayili, and Yagaba districts in Ghana's Northern and Northeastern regions. As part of its ongoing efforts, the foundation has successfully raised GHS 60,000 through the generous contributions of its members and supporters, a testament to the collective power of our community.

As a result of the generous donations received, on September 6 and September 7, 2023, respectively, The ELBC founder, Ms. Carlotta A. Appiah, nee Dede Djaba, and the Member of Parliament for the Yagaba District, Honorable Mustapha Ussif, along with a few volunteers, presented vital well-needed supplies such as polytanks, medical supplies, school supplies, educational materials, and 120 two-seater chairs and desks to the Kubori girls model school and the Yagaba girls' modern school in the Yagaba district; and the Kpachaa primary school in the Kpachaa district.

The Northern Love Project's goal was to aid in improving the socio-economic development, education, and well-being of children in the mentioned districts. We are halfway to attaining our objectives, but unfortunately, we have encountered children with more dire impoverished situations than we anticipated. Most of the children, especially those at the Kpachaa primary school, attended our event without shoes. This urgent and pressing need has galvanized the ELBC foundation to embark on the Northern Love 2.0 project to provide shoes for these needy children. The time to act is now. Therefore, The Northern Love Project is now entering its second phase—The Northern Love 2.0 - Shoes for Tots. This phase is specifically focused on providing shoes for the underprivileged children at Kpachaa DA Primary School. The ELBC foundation ensures every child walks to school comfortably and with dignity. We are committed to ensuring these children have proper footwear, an essential yet often overlooked necessity for their daily lives.

We are working toward raising GHS 15,000 to fully support this cause and ensure every child receives a pair of shoes.
